Rejuvenation | Medical | Thai Massage | Reiki
This is probably the most difficult section I have to write because I have to explain my massage technique which is the culmination of over nine years worth of intense study in the areas of biology, psychology, and spirituality in an effort to understand how we create illness so that I can help others heal themselves.
The forms of body manipulation I use are based on methods designed not only to reduce body tension, but also bring your body back into a state of balance by elevating or eliminating chronic structural problems like persistent back pain or thoracic outlet syndrome. The Texas Department of Health grants massage licenses after only 30 hours of actual hands on training in Swedish massage. Luckily I had a professor that made me take her Neuromuscular therapy course, which gave me an additional two hundred hours worth of intense training in sports massage, deep tissue, trigger point work, muscle energy techniques, and a wide range of other massage techniques. This, combined with my knowledge of lymphatic drainage and energy work, has been extremely effective in helping my clients heal themselves. Each one of these massage techniques is what I would hope to get from a massage therapist. I know how difficult it can be to find a massage therapist that fits your needs, so I'm hoping that these descriptions will help clarify what I do so you can have a better understanding of what to expect from me. Please check out the rest of my site for more information on what I’ve learned and how I’ve incorporated it into my practice and my life.
As of now there are four types of bodywork I perform, I try to make them all relaxing while combining everything I’ve learned so that each one focuses on a different aspect of our bodies' needs.

This massage is designed to individually treat the major muscles in your body in a way that will not only relax them, but also rejuvenate them by working the lymphatics and addressing any knots, trigger points, or traumatized muscle tissue. Each muscle I work has a specific technique designed to provide the maximum amount of benefit from the massage. This is not a Swedish massage, but I have incorporated some Swedish movements into the massage to maintain a level of relaxation. A relaxed mind sends neurological impulses into the muscle system allowing for easier manipulation. If a certain section of your body requires more attention, I can arrange the massage to spend more time on that area. If the area is particularly damaged, I may ask if I can skip a section of your body to continue working on it, or you can elect for an extra half hour if my schedule permits.
The adaptability of this massage makes it beneficial for everyone. I can adjust the pressure and movement to suite your body type and muscle tone. I have had considerable success with this technique… so much so that people do not need to come back very often since the effect of the massage lasts long after they leave the room. They say there is no money in curing someone… but I didn’t choose this path for the money.
No matter if you lead an active or passive lifestyle, these techniques help improve the function of each system in your body; circulatory, lymphatic, muscular, skeletal, endocrine, and nervous. It has reawakened the body for my clients who sit all day collecting toxins in their muscles or suffering pain caused by repetitive motion injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome. It increased the range of motion, flexibility, and tone for my clients who are into sports, weight training, running, and yoga. It has also worked well with my clients who play a musical instrument like the violin or piano where repetitive motion can contort their body and become a serious problem.
I am very proud of this massage technique and my clients have benefited greatly from it. If you are in pain or just looking for something more beneficial than a spa or Swedish massage, I suggest you try this one.

You do not have to live in pain…
As I mentioned before, the bulk of my training has been based on medical massage therapy techniques. This massage is designed to meet the specific needs of people suffering from chronic pain, joint dislocation, postural distortions, nerve entrapment, fractures, or who need help recovering from surgery, car accidents, migraine headaches, functional scoliosis, fused or herniated vertebrae, etc. It is a form of surgery above the skin where I spend about one or two hours focusing on the area in pain and other areas affected by, or contributing to, the source of that pain.
Depending on the degree of injury, a client may require 1 - 3 treatments per week until recovery is complete. I often work in conjunction with a chiropractor and an acupuncturist when necessary. Long-standing problems may take some time to remedy, and intermittent treatment, perhaps once a month, may be used as follow-up.
Chronic pain is mentally and physically debilitating. I have used this technique on several clients over the past few years and I cannot describe the feeling I get after I’ve helped one of them heal themselves of chronic pain. It is worth every hour I spend in school. One client suffered from chronic back pain for twenty years, and after three months worth of treatments, went home cured. Another woman, who’s doctor said she would have to live with her back pain for the rest of her life, left cured of any pain after about ten sessions. I’m not saying I can cure every chronic problem brought into me, but I’ll do my best to see if I can help alleviate or eliminate that pain. The ultimate goal of this massage is for you not to have to come back.

or The ancient healing art of Thailand (1.5 - 2 hours)
The ancient healing art of Thailand was created for the soul purpose of preventing imbalance in our bodies. In Thailand, it is more prevalent than any other form of medicine in preventing disease. This is because it is designed to affect every body system; muscular, skeletal, endocrine, neurological, etc. It is over two thousand years old and is now being practiced all over the world.
There is a great deal of information about Thai Massage on my site under the heading marked, “HEALING”. Briefly, a Thai Massage is not a massage (westerners gave it that name). You lay down on the floor across a mat wearing loose comfortable clothing while I use a number of gentle techniques that allow me to use my body weight for leverage and balance, and I use my feet, elbows, and thumbs to release tension along my client’s energy lines through acupressure and assisted yoga stretching. This massage takes about an hour and a half to two hours and, everyone has enjoyed the feeling they have after the experience is over. The best way I can describe the after effect it is a tingling feeling of aliveness that stays with them long after they leave.
I love doing this massage and I feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to go to Thailand to learn it so that I can share it with others.

(1.5 & 2 hours)
This is a two-hour massage that combines my rejuvenation massage with about thirty minutes worth of concentrated energy work. I’ve been a Reiki master for several years now and have found that incorporating Reiki into a massage can have great benefits on the release of negative thoughts and energy. There is a great deal of information on Reiki under the heading marked, “HEALING”. In short, the message is designed to work healing energy into your muscles and then reinforce that energy by opening and aligning your energy centers, also called charkas. During the two-hour session, the process takes about thirty minutes and is split in two parts. The first is completed after I finish massaging you face down and the second when I finish face up. You may leave the session feeling a little dizzy, but very energized.
This massage has worked well with clients who were depressed, experiencing a life trauma, or are were unable to let something go. Everyone who has experienced it was amazed at how they felt afterward… though not one of them had the same experience as the energy effects everyone differently.
