Steve is amazing! In just one session, he unknotted my neck enough so that I could move it again. Before he worked on me, I wasn't able turn my head to the right at all. And recently, I thought I was going to have to see a chiropractor for the lower-back pain that developed when I started training for a half marathon. But, again, after one session the pain was gone. Steve has an amazing talent. He is able to effectively integrate deep tissue massage, NMT, and the gifts of energy work (Reiki and chakra balancing). For me this was both beneficial and pleasurable. Two days later, I still feel like I just got off the table.

Steve was one of the therapists supporting the Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS last year. As one of the riders, I would have had a much harder time had it not been for Steve's assistance, "fixing" me at certain points along the 175-mile ride. I had a follow up session with Steve after the ride to make sure I was on even keel. Great session!! For the first time in my life, I developed back trouble and went to see a Chiropractor. He recommened Steve for a deep tissue massage as a follow up. I've had continual back pain for much of the last 25 years, and in that time seen specialists from all the medical and helping professions in search of help. Almost all of them have offered some relief, but none -- including other, wonderful massage therapists -- have come close to accomplishing what Steve has done for me in the last three months. He searches for the solution, offers immediate relief, and partners with you to find the complete cure. He's gentle, but determined, and deeply spiritual in a real person, not touchy feely way. HHmmm....well, my words escape me at this time - not really even sure if there are words to describe how I feel (in the English language, at least). Yes, the massage was fantastic. Yes, the massage was relaxing. Yes, he quieted my body from anxiety. Rather, it is the feeling of being in the presence of someone genuine and someone you "just know" cares about your being as a whole that should impress you to see Steve. His eyes see more than just your physical body - he sees your soul. Steve has awakened in me a thirst for knowledge and a desire for a journey - one in which I might not understand clearly now, but in time I hope he can teach me to "see".

My life had recently taken a series of tough knocks, leaving me physically and emotionally exhausted. I initially came to Steve simply looking for help to relax a little so that I could cope with all that was going on around me – and he did a superb job in that regard. I came to Steve looking to find a therapist that could work on my body in a way that combined different massage techniques and spirituality. My first session with Steve ended up being incredibly emotional. For the first time in my life I experienced Reiki. Many hidden emotions surfaced in that session and I realized that I discovered someone who could not only help me with the pain in my muscles, but also the pain that was hidden deeper. Steve helped me open up blocked passages in my body and in my spirit. I've not been to Steve in 6 months as I'm working in Iraq. When I return, he will be one of first calls I make. Comments:I met Steve at a Yoga studio, one year ago. He was demonstrating the benefits of Thai Massage on willing volunteers. I couldn't resist. I just felt drawn to try it, or maybe it was my backache! Anyway, he streched and pulled my limbs untill I thought they could strech no further... then he told me to visualize the pain leaving my body and with a long-deep breathe, I was streched even more! Remarkably, I had forgotten about the pain in my back, and felt so comfortably "at peace". Steve's soft spoken words reassured me that pain doesn't have to be a daily battle, and I can get releif. I was comforted, since I had no idea that "daily back pain" wasn't the "NORM" of any 30'ish person! Since meeting Steve that day, I have not only learned streches and techniques, even life habits that have benefited my body, reduced my pain, and enhanced my overall feelings of "well-being", but we have become great friends throughout the process. I will always, HIGHLY reccomend Steve's services. They not only come from his insatiable appitite to sharpen his skills and continue his education, but they come from his heart. |
