Well, it’s almost 2010 and wanted to take a few minutes to give an update on a few changes in both my life and on this website.

First, I would like to thank all of you for dealing with my abrupt schedule changes. Many of you already know that in 2006 I decided to get my masters in counseling because many of my clients were experiencing neuromuscular problems brought on by issues with anger, anxiety, childhood trauma, depression, and so on. It is my intention to provide mental, physical, and spiritual therapy using massage, counseling, and Reiki. I am a little over halfway through with my internship and it has been an amazing journey. Right now I am counseling kids suffering from drug addiction. Most of who are merely using drugs as a form of self-medication for deeper emotional issues. Three of my kids were able to apply what I taught and broke out of their chronically depressed minds. This is not an easy feat, and the change in them was like night and day. It was not my intention to counsel kids with drug issues when I began this part of my journey, but I’ve learned a great deal from them, and it has made me a much better counselor.

Second, though my massage caseload has slowed down, my skills in both massage and Reiki have increased tremendously. I once asked that my ability to help others heal themselves grow to levels beyond my comprehension. Recently I took on a client with functional scoliosis (a curvature of the back that can be straightened with body manipulation and/or surgery). My client was 12 years old; her curve was severe enough that it caused chronic pain and difficulty breathing. Her left ribs formed a hunch in her back and her left scapula was pulled over her left shoulder. Her surgery was moved back for a few months so I agreed to see what I could do to help. After two sessions of NMT and Reiki her pain was gone and she could breath again. After four sessions the curve straightened in her lower back and her left scapula began moving back in position. By the sixth treatment her upper curve, and the hunch of her left ribs, reduced. She could move her neck again and she stood about two inches taller. I taught her Reiki level one so she could do treatments on herself. Since a great deal of the curve was cause by emotional distress creating dysfunctions in her neural system, we talked during her sessions to figure out the cause of her depression and anxiety. We did a total of twelve sessions before she went into surgery. The morning of her surgery I did Reiki on her back for about thirty minutes to prepare her, during which she could feel her muscles bubbling under my hands. The doctors predicted the surgery would fix 50% of her curve, because of the work I did, they were able to fix 75%. She is now at home, much taller, happier, and healing herself at a record pace using Reiki. My experience with this girl made me a better therapist and I can’t wait to see who I can help next.

NOW TEACHING REIKI 3
I am now teaching Reiki level 3. I finished my level 3 workbook and believe it will help a great deal in the transition from level 2. I have taught several Reiki practitioners lately and have been amazed by what they can do. Some use it in their food, some use it on their animals and loved ones, while others use it to enhance whatever they’ve decided to do with their lives. Using Reiki has made a tremendous difference in my life which is why I chose to teach it. I have become a great deal stronger over the years and my individual sessions are much more powerful than when I began. I’ve used it to restart someone’s neural system, reduce muscle tension, harmonize brain function, and a list of other things I never dreamed I could do. Finally, I've made several changes on my website in an effort to make it easer to find information. I've tightened several sections up, deleted some, and added others. Take a look if you have time. I also want to tell all of you what a wonderful journey this has been. I'm coming up on my 40th trip around the sun and I feel blessed for all of the wonderful people that have come in and out of my life.
